Wind energy today refers to electricity obtained from harnessing the wind with windmills or wind turbines. However, humans have been harnessing the wind for millenia, to grind flour and pump water and to travel. You may have seen a tall ship, which uses the wind to sail all around the world.

You can also use the energy in the wind for more fun things like flying a kite or even kite-buggying.
